In the early 90s, he involved in ferrying foreign cars, and for a while even ran his own car dealership.
In 1995, he transported ready-made roller shutters from Riga to Minsk, assembled them here and resold them. Until 1997 it was a small assembly company – 40 people, housed in a 200-square-meter room. Then with their partners they bought a line for the production of aluminum profiles. Now Alutech is a large production and sales holding, which unites 26 companies in Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, and Germany. Alutech products (roller shutter systems, aluminum profile systems and sectional gates) are supplied to more than 60 countries. Including the highly competitive markets of Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, and England.
By the end of 2017, Alexey Zhukov reached the finish line of one of the largest M&A deals in the history of modern Belarus – the sale of 75% of Alutech’s share to Hoermann Group, one of the European leaders in this segment. The deal was closed in early 2018, Alexey Zhukov remained the owner of 25% of the company and its head.
Married with four children.
He is a keen alpine skier.
